Job Description: Medical Assistant
Position Summary
Medical Assistants provide clinical and administrative support to physicians, ensuring efficient patient care and smooth office operations. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical procedures, and coordination with the office manager and receptionist.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during patient visits.
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and update EHR records.
- Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens.
- Manage medication inventory and ensure proper storage.
- Educate patients on care instructions and follow-up procedures.
- Assist with insurance forms, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Maintain infection control standards and OSHA compliance.
- Support physicians with clinical documentation and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and EHR systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered approach.
