LTC Certification Class

The instruction portion of this course is designed for a minimum of 4 hours to a maximum of 6 hours.

The proficiency demonstration can take an additional 1 – 2 hours contingent upon your current level of proficiency with your handgun/revolver. This time period is in addition to and separate from the instruction portion of the course.

Your instruction will include the four required topics:

Use of Force
Handgun Use, Proficiency and Safety; including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of Openly Carried Handguns 
Non-Violent Dispute Resolution
Proper Storage Procedures for Handguns

A light lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided during the course of instruction.

Upon completion of the instruction, you must pass a written examination with a score of at least 70%. Rest assured, all information will be covered and clarified prior to administration of the written examination.

Upon successful completion of the written examination, you must demonstrate proficiency with a semi-automatic handgun or a revolver and achieve a passing score of 70% (175).

NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!!!

Required Items:
.22 Caliber Handgun or Larger
50 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
Eye and Hearing protection
Baseball cap / Headgear
Collared shirt / T-shirt / Button Up Shirt (No V-neck shirts)
Shoes than completely cover your feet (No Sandals)
TX Driver’s License

We can provide assistance with the submission of your Texas LTC application.

We can also provide expert advice regarding the type of handgun for you to acquire and that would best suit your personal protection needs.

We have a FFL licensee on staff who can assist with the acquisition of a handgun either before or after your LTC certification. Please advise whether you require this assistance when registering for your class.

LTC Class Registration Fees:

Regular Registration = $120.00
Military / Veterans / First Responders / Teachers – Registration = $105.00*
Group Registration [Group of 4] = $100.00/person**

[Military / Veterans must present a valid military ID card or DD 214 upon arrival at class.]*

[First Responders / Teachers must present proof of present or prior affiliation upon arrival at class.]*

[Group Registrants [Group of 4] must register individually and send us one email to info@thecompoundatrockwall.com identifying the individual names of your group of 4. Upon arrival at class you must identify your group of 4 or be subject to the regular registration rate of $120.00.]
