DESCRIPTION:Military Students and Veterans:\n\nWe are looking for participants in a new research study\n\nto understand how informal learning experiences such\n\nas mapathons may shape pathways for military and\n\nveteran communities from informal to formal STEM\n\neducation\, and ultimately to the civilian workforce.\n\n\n\nAttend a Mapathon Event Near You.\n\nResearchers will ask you to take a survey before and after the event.\n\nVolunteers will show you how to use remote sensing imagery\n\nto create mapping data to be used by a humanitarian project.\n\nParticipants in the mapathons will each receive a $50\n\ngift card. Pizza will be provided.
