SUMMARY:April Partnership Luncheon - Lessons in Leadership: From the Classroom\, to the Grass\, to the Court
DESCRIPTION:Brad Rogers has lived in Lubbock\, TX for 29 of the past 34 years. He is married and has two daughters\, both in college. Rogers has worked in Higher Education for over 24 years and is currently on faculty at Texas Tech University. Rogers is an Assistant Basketball Coach at Lubbock Christian High School where he has coached Boys and Girls Varsity basketball winning 6 Texas State Championships between both programs including a streak of 5 State Championships in a row from 2021-2025. \n\nIn 1991\, Rogers began officiating football in Texas and in Arizona from 2000-2005. In 2001\, he began officiating Junior College and reached Division 1 in 2010. From 2007-2014 he officiated in the Arena Football League and worked 6 Playoff Games. He has officiated multiple High School Playoff games including a State Championship Game. While working College Football in the SWAC\, Conference USA and the Southeastern Conference he officiated the following Post Season Games:\n\n   * 2010 Bayou Classic Grambling vs Southern\n\n   * 2011 Hyundai Sun Bowl Georgia Tech vs Utah (Rules Interpreter with CBS)\n\n   * 2011 Conference USA Championship Houston vs Southern Mississippi\n\n   * 2012 Conference USA Championship Central Florida vs Tulsa \n\n   * 2013 Conference USA Championship Marshall vs Rice\n\n   * 2014 Armed Forces Bowl Pittsburgh vs Houston\n\n   * 2015 SEC Championship Florida vs Alabama\n\n   * 2016 Foster Farms Bowl Indiana vs Utah\n\n In 2015 he interviewed to join in the National Football League Training Program and was hired by the NFL in 2017 as an official. He was a Field Judge for the 2017 and 2018 Seasons and in 2019 Rogers was moved to the Referee Position.
